Spending six days on the snow a week you can pretty much imagine I most certainly put equipment through the ringer. When it comes to boots...it's not uncommon to pack-out at least two pairs a season! Yes, I did say two pairs. First pair that I have already retired...I shall not name names, but in a suprising two month time frame....tapped out! (FAIL). It's not very enjoyable to be out there riding only to have your boot's feel like a pair of Mr. Cleaver's slippers. Now I can happily segway to our snow sliding subject matter;
2011 Rome Folsom Boot.
First thing I noticed about this boot was Rome's crazy attention to detail. From the logo ed lace eyelets, to the insanely clever toe traction tread pattern, and the super toasty Out-last liner. I was in love with the heel cup and fit right out of the box. The user friendly lace system made getting out the shred the am gnarr a walk in the park! This is hand down an excellent all-mountain boot that is very much at home no matter what you throw in it's path. I would not necessarily say that this boot is going to perform most optimally for those of you jibber - tweaker types. (Flex pattern is on the stiffer side). Another added bonus to rider comfort was the addition shock cushion heel. This was no doubt put to good use a few times on some of those harder big "booter" landings (nice touch Rome). In closing; weather your an all mountain ripper or a weekend piste & park destroyer..the Rome Folsom Gets-R-Done. This shred staple should most certainly be on your list of must haves for 2011. So with that said stop into your local shop and hook your self up..not only will be stoked but your feet will deff. thank you. Enjoy the ride!!!
